Black

I realized last night that I need a pair of black dancing shoes, as the shoes I own are all colored. So what do you think of these? They are the magic green shoes, only in black with a hint of bronze...

*sigh* I am going to be so broke between the shoes and the material for skirts and pants, and the milongas, lessons and workshops....
But I'll be happy!

Didn't your green shoes bust the first time you wore them? Why are you buying crazy breaky shoes? ;)

They did break, you are right, but Sorin was able to fix them for me. And this time I am not going to buy them from the internet, I am going to *gulp* buy them retail. So I can inspect them and take a pivot or two in the store.
And they may be crazy breaky shoes, but they are also crazy sexy shoes! Every once in awhile, that estrogen just goes to my head....

I once heard of a woman who lives in New York City who custom-built a walk-in closet dedicated to her tango shoe collection. That got me wondering just how many pairs of shoes does she have? She made some irreverential comment about being the Imelda Marcos of tango shoes. Imagine! So, I think in comparison, people like you and me are incredibly frugal. There's always a risk when it comes to buying tango shoes - but it's the best way to find out what's good and what's not good. The ones that are not so good for dancing, you can wear them for non-tango events so it's not a COMPLETE waste.

I have Tango shoes in: black and red, black and white, red (multiple for different styles), pink, gold, blue and orange, purple.... It's killing my bank manager! I can very easily see how one could fill a walk in closet. Thanks for the info on Traspie branded shoes- I was thinking about buying some but I think i'll stick to Darcos Tango -they're cheaper too!
